The Technology Development Group

Carbon Engineering’s Technology Development Group is our core research and development team, composed of research scientists and engineers dedicated to advancing DAC technology through innovation. We foster a collaborative and inclusive research environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.

Responsibilities

**Technical:**

• Stay updated on emerging research and technology
• Generate new concepts by connecting existing knowledge with original ideas
• Assess technical and economic feasibility of concepts
• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments
• Use data to drive decision-making for project advancement

**Safety:**

• Champion a culture of environmental and personal health and safety
• Follow and uphold company safety protocols
• Implement safe work procedures for experimental equipment
• Identify and resolve unsafe conditions

Qualifications

**Experience & Education:**

• B.Sc minimum, M.Sc or PhD preferred in Chemical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 2 years research experience in academia or industry
• Experience in process design, engineering, and construction
• Familiarity with mechanical and system design

**Key Competencies:**

• Computational fluid dynamics
• Process engineering principles
• Scientific principles (process chemistry, mass transfer, thermodynamics, etc.)
• Mechanical design and modeling

Offers and Benefits

Carbon Engineering offers a competitive compensation package with extended health benefits. Base salary ranges from $81,000 to $140,000 for Intermediate to Advanced roles, with additional bonus pay. Work schedules include standard 40 hours per week or a 9/80 schedule providing every second Friday off. Our location in Squamish offers access to various outdoor activities.
