Position Overview

As a Millwright at Carbon Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to provide mechanical equipment maintenance service and support to Pilot and Innovation Plant operations. You will be tasked with maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, valves, evaporators, fans, and other related equipment. Additionally, you will assist the Operations team by removing equipment hatchways and piping flanges for inspection and cleanout tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and condition-based maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Assist in designing and planning plant modifications
• Lead mechanical installation of new equipment and support commissioning
• Update maintenance tasks and schedules
• Fabricate, weld, and fit pipes as needed
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Education and Experience

• Inter-Provincial Red Seal Millwright certification required
• Pipefitter experience and/or welder certification is an asset
• 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
• Experience commissioning industrial facilities preferred
