Your Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, execute, and evaluate validation tests for all KACO products and third-party products
  • Conduct tests for quality checks, requalifications, and quality improvement in terms of reliability, environment, etc.
  • Develop new validation tests to enhance quality in new product developments
  • Create and refine test procedures and documentation
  • Enhance test automation
  • Manage and commission external testing institutes and certifiers
  • Plan and set up the necessary testing equipment with measuring and testing devices
  • Build, modify, and repair prototypes
  • Support maintenance and service issues in the laboratory area
  • Assist in laboratory-specific processes such as calibration and electrical tests
  • Define and plan the expansion or adaptation of the test infrastructure
  • Support other departments with technical questions

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Training as an electrical specialist (m/w/d)
  • Professional experience, preferably in validation, test automation, certification, or a similar field
  • Experience with measuring instruments, control software (e.g., LabVIEW), and simulation programs (Matlab advantageous)
  • Knowledge of grid integration of generation units/plants
  • Skills in power electronics
  • Experience in occupational safety is a plus
  • Good German and English language skills
  • Knowledge of photovoltaics, inverters, and/or storage is advantageous
  • Familiarity with norms for photovoltaic inverters and related areas
  • Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment (AC/DC sources, sinks, and measuring devices)
  • Proficient in MS Office
