Role Summary

Magna New Mobility is a startup inside Magna International, a mobility technology company, and one of the largest automotive suppliers globally. The Senior Battery Systems Engineer will be responsible for deriving high-level requirements for battery packs, identifying improvement opportunities, and staying abreast of battery and electronics trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain pack level requirements
• Support battery plant end-of-line development
• Conduct testing to confirm system performance
• Own and facilitate creation of System Architecture Diagram
• Define battery Test plans
• Lead design trade-offs
• Conduct safety checkout and Systems testing

Key Qualifications Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 5 years of experience in high voltage or low voltage Battery design and release
• Systems engineering experience
• Product testing and launch experience
• Battery assembly experience
