**Job Location:** CNS Y12, TN, Oak Ridge, TN

**Position Type:** Full Time, On Site

Boston Government Services is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team at Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN, providing integral mission support to the NNSA. BGS is an engineering technology and security firm that helps advance missions of national importance for government programs, national laboratories, national security facilities, nuclear operations, and complex projects.

**Responsibilities:**

• Develop high-quality detailed design packages
• Provide engineering procurement and field technical support
• Troubleshoot and provide technical assessments of plant facilities
• Conduct structural designs for infrastructure modifications
• Perform field walkdowns during planning and construction phases
• Provide title III support as necessary
• Review AE designs to ensure they meet requirements and expectations

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Structural Engineering
• Technical expertise in structural engineering principles, theories, and concepts
• Familiarity with consensus design codes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with various clients, production organizations, and employees
• US citizenship required
• Successful drug screening
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance badge

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Active Q clearance
• 20+ years of relevant professional experience
• CAD drafting experience preferred
• Structural modeling experience with STAAD Pro preferred
