Job Description:

Enfinity Global is seeking a visionary and experienced Global Head of Design & Engineering to lead our design and engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering sustainable solutions that meet the highest industry standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the design and engineering teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and optimization of solar and BESS energy projects, from initial feasibility studies through to detailed engineering and construction.
  • Oversee the development of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Drive innovation and research in renewable energy technologies, materials, and construction methods to enhance project performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless integration of design and engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering analyses to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction without compromising quality or performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, consultants, and vendors to leverage expertise, resources, and best practices in design and engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols in all design and engineering activities, promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to design and engineering team members, fostering talent retention and growth within the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector, and incorporate relevant advancements into project designs and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical) or a related field; Master's degree or preferred.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in engineering design and project management, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in solar and BESS energy systems, including PV solar arrays, inverters, and balance of system components.
  • Working knowledge/ past experience in energy modeling tools and software such as Plexos, Matlab/ Simulink,PVCase.
  • Experience / working knowledge of sub-station / HV and transmission line engineering
  • Experience with managing technical inputs and design turn-around for the business development teams
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary design and engineering teams in the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects, preferably on a global scale.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, design codes, standards, and regulations applicable to renewable energy projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, PVsyst and structural analysis software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage project budgets and schedules effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
