Senior Test Engineer

**Your Day to Day:**

• Lead and execute test programs throughout all phases of the design process
• Collaborate with design teams to identify design features which require testing
• Develop and implement design requirements, test plans, specifications, and procedures
• Collaborate with materials teams in design and analysis of test articles
• Coordinate with site environmental health and safety for safety protocols
• Perform experiments in compliance with quality assurance and safety requirements
• Technical writing including development of technical reports
• Analyze large data sets using Matlab, DIAdem, or Mathcad
• Design test articles and prototypes using engineering practices and finite element analysis
• Research and select equipment and instrumentation for test facility applications
• Prepare detailed sketches, 3D models, and drawings using Auto Cad, Inventor, or Solidworks
• Develop control and data acquisition systems for equipment using Labview
• Fabricate and assemble test fixtures and equipment
• Install and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment controls
• Integrate testing efforts with modeling and analysis
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with customers

**Who You Are:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years of professional experience
• Prior experience working in a lab testing environment
• Strong mechanical problem-solving skills
• Organizational planning and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with good judgment and prioritization skills
• Effective communication, teaming, and technical writing skills
• Knowledge of GD&T practices, dimensional inspection standards, and tooling
• Experience with 3D modeling and drafting software
• Knowledge of thermal structural design analysis and finite element analysis
• Preferred experience with instrumentation, ASME Section VIII BPVC code, and vacuum applications
