**THE ROLE**:

As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the product development process by leading the design and development of Skytree products. Leveraging your extensive experience and technical expertise, you will contribute to the innovation and optimization of mechanical designs ensuring they meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.

**YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY**:

  1. **Conceptualization and Innovation**: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product performance and functionality. Driving the development of new concepts and solutions through a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

  2. **3D Modeling and Simulation**: Utilizing advanced 3D modeling tools (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed and accurate mechanical designs. Conducting simulations and analyses to validate designs ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

  3. **Prototyping and Testing**: Overseeing the creation of prototypes and performing rigorous testing to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement. Collaborating with testing and quality assurance teams to ensure designs meet specified requirements and standards.

  4. **Collaboration and Communication**: Effectively communicating design concepts and ideas to cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients. Collaborating with electrical, software, and industrial designers to integrate mechanical components seamlessly into overall product architecture.

  5. **Cost Optimization and Manufacturing Support**: Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for cost-effective production. Providing support during the manufacturing process, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.

  6. **Documentation and Compliance**: Creating detailed design documentation including drawings, specifications, and design reviews. Ensuring designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

  7. **Continuous Learning**: Staying abreast of the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and design technologies. Implementing best practices and incorporating new techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the design process.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plus.
  • Proven experience, typically 8 years, in mechanical design with a focus on complex systems and components.
  • Demonstrated ability to design machines with experience in CSD, CFD simulations for gas flows, heat transfer, steam generation.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Experienced in Design for Manufacturing, Assembly cycles.
  • Nice to have: Prior experience with industrial vacuum systems and familiarity with the challenges and considerations associated with the design of vacuum-based machinery.
  • Nice to have: Experience in designing systems for moving bulk materials and powders, showcasing an understanding of material handling principles and associated engineering considerations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong preference for locally available candidates with up-to-date knowledge on the local EU manufacturing market.
