THE ROLE

As an Automation Engineer at Skytree, you will develop electrical systems for the Skytree CO2 capture machines with a focus on power electronics. You will collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams, conduct analysis, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations to deliver innovative CO2 capture machines. Your experience will help create reliable and efficient electrical systems that meet the requirements of our customers and contribute to the overall success of Skytree's CO2 capture machines.

YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY:

  • Taking an active role in the development of the electrical systems of the SkyTree ESP32 based platform with a focus on power electronics.
  • Conducting thorough analysis and calculations to ensure optimal electrical design and efficiency.
  • Selecting and evaluating electrical components and subsystems to meet product requirements.
  • Working on debugging and launching new prototypes of SkyTree CO2 capture machines.
  • Creating detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation in EPLAN.
  • Create and maintain required software for the PLC and its subsystems.
  • Performing electrical simulations and modeling for system validation and optimization.
  • Preparing necessary documentation, reports, and test plans for certification purposes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years proven experience in electrical design.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience with PLC technology, both hardware as well as software.
  • Experience with high power electrical design.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and hands-on approach to work.
  • Professional proficiency in English; Dutch is a bonus.
  • Right to work in The Netherlands is a pre.
