**Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer Register** OCI Nitrogen Iowa is looking for an experienced Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Integrity team in Wever, Iowa. This individual will be responsible for rotating equipment reliability efforts at the site. The individual will manage condition monitoring, RCAs, build equipment strategies like FMEAs, and support management of change. The individual will seek to achieve early identification of issues and trends of failures and provide recommendations for repair and improvements. This individual should have a strong mechanical engineering background, experience with rotating equipment, and experience working in chemical facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor the condition of rotating equipment and report on findings.
• Ensure corrective actions are taking place based on equipment condition.
• Facilitate root cause analysis using various techniques.
• Develop Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) for bad actors.
• Determine Bad Actors and develop action plans to correct.
• Use data analysis techniques including statistical process control, reliability modeling, and more.
• Improve reliability programs and introduce additional programs.
• Tracking key performance indicators like mean time between failure.
• Mentor reliability technicians for vibration and lubrication programs.
• Support operations in troubleshooting.
• Support maintenance in repairs.
• Optimize preventative maintenance (PM).
• Identify critical spare parts.
• Manage vendor and manufacturer support for repairs and troubleshooting.
• Ownership of potential business interruption corrective.
• Assist in developing turnaround.
• Perform reviews and approvals for Management of Change (MOC).
• Update documentation for changes.
• Prepare written reports and communicate to all levels of the organization.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

**Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or another technical field. **Experience and Skills:**

• 5 years engineering experience in the chemical industry or refining.
• Fertilizer manufacturing experience is a plus.
• CMRP Certification or similar certification is desired.
• Experience and understanding of equipment design.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and experience facilitating the process.
• Knowledge of the general operation and function of fixed and rotating equipment used in the fertilizer industry.
• Proven track record of implementing improvements and meaningful KPIs.
• Understanding of ASME and API standards as it relates to equipment repairs and design.
• Strong adherence and knowledge of industry safety.
• Active participation in ongoing development of safety improvement plans.
• Proven ability to function within a team, prioritizing, delegating work, driving productivity, setting the right expectations, and overcoming obstacles.
• Patience and positive attitude maintained during interactions.
• Excellent time management.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize work to meet targets and deadlines.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• SAP and PCMS knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, PowerPoint).

**Physical Requirements:**

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb heights.
• Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
