**Job Description**

• Electrical design and spatial layout of EV Charging EVC installations from feasibility through to construction phase working closely with the project programme manager to ensure subcontractor work packages meet design requirements.
• Management of design of multiple projects at various stages of delivery including new LV HV connections and downstream electrical works.
• Answering technical queries from subcontractors and reporting on progress as appropriate.
• Assist in general activities of the commercial installation team, improving processes and working with team members on overall efficiency and delivery of EVC projects.
• Available as contact for client-side queries regarding engineering aspects of projects as required.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

• Accurately price and design work packages based on surveys completed by yourself, colleagues, or subcontractor including electrical installation ICP DNO connection and switchgear.
• Maintain design responsibility and feed into program deliverables up to and including construction phase.
• Develop and issue cable calculations, schematics, and specifications for EVC installations.
• Design EVC infrastructure Schemes in compliance with BS 7671 IET CoP and industry good practice guidelines from DNO boundary to EVC siting.
• Specification of materials and switchgear.
• Prepare and/or review CAD layout of EVC infrastructure schemes.
• Assure the quality of designs produced by subcontractors and that this meets BP standards.
• Help develop and implement a design function and strategy for BP rollout projects.
• Assist the installation team with on-site queries and review of testing as required.
• Help manage the sales team commercial element throughout the pre-construction phase.
• Support and assist the electrical estimators deliver estimating activities.
• Witnessing of site commissioning and key installation activities if required.
• Prepare, review, or accept as-built documentation.

**Qualifications**

• Experience working on electrical design in line with BS 7671 requirements.
• Working with Trimble ElectricalOM or equivalent.
• Proficiency in working with drawing tools such as Visio AutoCAD.
• Self-starter with the ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
