**About the team:** We are looking for a Liability Claims expert to join us as part of our Claims team. This is an amazing opportunity to join an industry disruptor and to help continue to shape our liability program. This position reports to our Chief Insurance Officer as well as our Liability Claims Program Manager.

**What you'll do:**

  • Lead claim consultations with our liability insurance partners for claims within primary coverage levels
  • Participate in organizing claim reviews to review targeted cases, compile feedback, and provide coaching and performance feedback to our liability partners
  • Review claims data to measure and track account performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Work closely with other teams at Turo (product, GR, accounting, analytics, etc.) to take what is observed on claims into actionable changes in the marketplace
  • Develop best practices, improve workflow and efficiency with the Turo protection team
  • Audit invoicing from carriers for handling and paid claims to ensure accuracy
  • Identify and drive ongoing improvements to policies and procedures to enhance outcomes and the claims experience for customers
  • Review cases in litigation, consult on litigation plans, ensure best handling for hosts and guests
  • Be a subject matter expert for liability claims within Turo, aid the Turo internal team to understand liability claim workflows and referral processes
  • Provide support to audit partners, verify and test claims data

**Your profile:**

  • 6 years' experience in auto injury claims with a strong understanding of effectively managing auto claims litigation in a multi-state territory
  • Strong claims legal knowledge of relevant legislation and case laws in a multi-state jurisdiction
  • Proficiency with technology such as Claims Management systems, CRM systems, Google Docs, MS Office, mobile systems, Mac expertise is a plus
  • State licensing desired but not required
  • Commitment to high responsiveness and availability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, drive and embrace change
  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, with minimal need for supervision
