**Human Performance Improvement Manager** **Nuclear Fuel Services Inc** **Erwin, TN**
**Summary Description of Job:** This position is responsible for the implementation and facilitation of the NFS Human Performance Program. The incumbent will formulate and execute performance improvement recommendations. Designs, conducts, and evaluates training on human performance tools and techniques in a professional manner that displays leadership and reinforces management expectations. Works closely with the line organization to help resolve emerging human performance needs. Promotes internalization of proven performance techniques into site work practices and processes.
**Major Duties Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate site human performance observation activities including obtaining and evaluating data.
- Assist line personnel with conducting performance analysis activities.
- Develop ideas and materials that improve existing work methods, services, or outcomes and promote the accomplishment of safe and compliant results.
- Responsible for maintaining and coordinating a continuing plan for Human Performance Improvement.
- Train and develop personnel in human performance error reduction, self-assessment techniques, and/or observation process.
- Evaluate Human Performance Training Program's effectiveness through data acquisition, analysis, and trending.
- Identify and solve problems, barriers to implementing processes, or performance improvement.
- Coordinate departmental human performance review meetings.
- Review human performance-related root cause investigations. Assess data to identify site-related human performance-related trends.
- Communicate frequently with management to ensure awareness and understanding of any human performance issues. Assist the Human Performance Learning Director in developing manpower budgets, analyzing staffing and organizational issues.
- Implement site human performance advancement initiatives. Assist in implementing human error reduction techniques by managers, supervisors, workers, training, and other departments.
- Provide assistance to managers and team leaders in identifying human performance event factors and corrective actions.
**Education Requirements of Job:** B.S. degree (Engineering, Science, or other technical discipline) or Education/Training or Management OR equivalent experience of 8 years in human performance and/or continuous improvement.
**Experience Requirements of Job:** Beyond educational or equivalent requirements:
- With B.S./B.A. degree, six-eight years of experience. Prefer at least four years of direct experience in human performance improvement and continuous improvement and one to two years' experience in the nuclear industry preferred.
- OR without B.S./B.A. degree, 14 years' experience in human performance and/or continuous improvement.
**Pay:** $92,000 - $142,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee at the start of employment is expected to be between $92,000 and $142,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as an annual cash incentive, in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed at will unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation, or benefit program at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
