Under this ownership, the company is targeting a renewable energy portfolio capacity of at least 100 gigawatts (GW) by 2030 and an annual green hydrogen production capacity of up to 1 million tonnes by the same year.

Job Description

• To lead the engineering activities of utility scale BESS technologies, alternative chemistries, and services, and BESS hybrid solutions in Masdar in line with overall engineering plans and objectives
• BESS hybrid project design, performance, and optimization
• Creative design preparation and oversight of hybrid technology evolvement in the market
• EPC contractor discussions and negotiations
• Contribution to stakeholder relations
• Compliance with standards and forms
• Preparation of relevant updates and reports
• Compliance with information security policies, procedures, and requirements at all times

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science
• Master's Degree related in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in BESS technologies and at least 3 years of experience in leading the technical stream of large-scale BESS hybrid projects or equivalent experience
• Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Hybrid simulation tool and exposure to one of the following hybrid power plants simulation tools
• EPC technical annex preparation
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage systems, and grid energy management systems
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
