The energy industry is undergoing rapid and dramatic changes, moving away from fossil fuels to alternative clean energy sources. In response, Jacobs is expanding its Energy Power Solutions team to tackle the complexities of decarbonization and deliver a cleaner and more secure energy future. We are seeking an engineering manager in Houston to take a leading role on green hydrogen project development as we expand our energy transition portfolio.

By joining our team, you'll have the opportunity to deploy your engineering management skills to develop innovative projects that will accelerate the energy transition across North America. This opening provides the opportunity to be meaningfully engaged with the development of hydrogen production facilities and hydrogen hub programs. You will be managing internal Jacobs teams as well as external subconsultants and contractors.

Demonstrated abilities include a broad understanding of process industries engineering design and construction. Experience in consulting design and EPC project delivery will be highly regarded, as will experience in Owner's Engineer roles or advisory technical advisor due diligence roles, as well as strategic project development experience.

Your primary responsibilities will focus on leading an engineering team to oversee and manage contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards, best practices, and quality assurance/quality management plan. You will collaborate with our technical leadership, client account managers, and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm. You'll be expected to possess highly collaborative and sophisticated communication and problem-solving skills. Successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to anticipate challenges and manage up and out while supporting large teams responsible for the daily details of project delivery.

Here's what you'll need:

• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field
• At least 10 years of design consulting or project development experience
• Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships, and win work, and then deliver innovative solutions providing value to both the client and provider
• Demonstrated ability for higher-level strategic exploration, concept and development planning for energy projects, including knowledge and application of new and emerging technologies
• Demonstrated skills on concept and developed design optimization programs to guide sound technical guidance for decision making
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Availability to work at least 3 days a week in Houston offices

• Professional Registration
• Experience with Electrolyzer technology, Blue or green hydrogen production, Hydrogen liquefaction, Ammonia production, Bulk storage, and off-loading facilities for product transport
