The Role

In this position, the Automotive Software Cyber Security Engineer will be closely involved with customers and experts in e-mobility applications such as Electric Drive Systems and Battery Management Systems. You will play a key role in various product platform developments by promoting a security-conscious environment and ensuring compliance with technical solutions and legal standards.

Your responsibilities

• Serve as a contact person for international OEMs and customer projects related to e-mobility systems and platform development, focusing on cyber security software topics
• Perform Threat and Risk Analysis (TARA), derive protection concepts, implement secure software based on security requirements
• Support detailed analysis of customer needs and requirements, assist in defining security goals and assets
• Collaborate closely with experts in functional safety, system architecture, software development, etc., for an overall security concept
• Contribute actively from concept development to product development in interdisciplinary projects
• Manage software security requirements, considering design principles for re-use and optimization
• Drive the development of cyber security growth strategically and technically

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar
• Experience in automotive systems development preferred
• Experience/certifications in automotive cyber security and standards like ISO21434 a plus
• Familiarity with Automotive SPICE, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and related methods
• Motivated to learn and contribute new ideas
• Analytical, structured, and responsible
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in English; German and/or Hungarian fluency a plus
• Willingness to travel
