Summary

Reporting to the AED Manager, the Application Engineer is responsible to ensure and provide engineering and technical support to the area sales managers, distributors, and customers in key market segments supporting the selling of all products, applications, solutions, and services covered by the company's brands and products portfolio.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of technical documents, brochures, and catalogues to provide excellent response to customers
• Professionally deals with product price availability enquiries, requests, web caps
• Prepares technical non-standard water technologies parts, drive motors, and accessories as per distributor or customer's requirements
• Competent knowledge of product features, advantages, and benefits and represent these to the customer
• Prepares cost estimates for all technical requirements needed by the sales group
• Manages technical dossiers for quality issues, technical specifications, testing requirements, etc.
• Develops and maintains strong external and internal relationships
• Handles customer issues if and when these arise
• Actively engages in teamwork and influences others
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other related software
• Produces basic CRM quotations and creates CRM opportunities
• Understands and complies with legal, ethical, and regulatory policies

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience in a similar role
• Comfortable with working in a changing and dynamic environment
• Ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships
• Proactively anticipates problems and provides solutions
• Engineering degree or equivalent
• High level in English and Spanish, both oral and written

Other Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Cooperation and team working
• Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

**Travel requirement: 5% of the time** **Location: Lisboa, Portugal** **Contract: Full-time, permanent**
