Do you have a passion for numbers and are you eager to take on an exciting challenge in one of the most innovative Food Tech Start-ups in Berlin? Join our growing Finance Team and have the opportunity to take on the responsibility for our Financial Accounting as our central point of contact. You will not only verify, record, and control all ongoing business transactions, but also coordinate invoice approvals, prepare monthly closings, and keep an eye on our existing processes. One of your first tasks will be to implement the Finance module of SAP B1 and execute the migration from Datev.

Your responsibilities:

• Independently verify and book all business transactions
• Actively participate in the implementation of SAP B1
• Take responsibility for creditors and general ledger accounting, and establish accounts receivable accounting
• Independently prepare monthly closings and collaborate with our tax office for the annual closing
• Develop guidelines and controls to ensure that the accounting complies with internal and legal requirements
• Continuously improve and automate our processes to make them more productive and efficient

Job Requirements

Your profile:

• University degree or IHK training in accounting, taxes, finance, or business
• Several years of experience in accounting, ideally in the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of HGB, tax law is a plus
• Proficient in a accounting system, SAP B1 knowledge is a plus
• Ongoing training is possible
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Analytical thinking with problem-solving skills
• Hands-on mentality and good communication skills
• Fluent in German and English
