What you'll do

SAP BTP ABAP Environment is the SAP Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering for ABAP Cloud development that enables developers to leverage their traditional on-premises ABAP knowledge to develop and run ABAP Cloud applications in the SAP Business Technology Platform. We have a fully Kubernetes native architecture in place to leverage container technology and economics of scale. Our PaaS offering is a production-grade and robust platform with baked-in Kubernetes best practices for compliance and security engineering. All lifecycle actions are based on a high degree of automation and backed by deep and accurate telemetry to adhere to industry standards.

You will experience firsthand how the heavy lifting engineering work is done under the covers of the BTP ABAP PaaS offering. This means that you are part of the whole development lifecycle from sketching ideas to experiencing the product you build during operations with a special focus on security and compliance. You will perform technical evaluations, strengthen engineering efforts, and ensure that our systems are robust against threats while adhering to regulatory standards.

What you bring

• Recent engineering experience with Kubernetes, both concepts, and coding
• Ideally, at least 1 year of work experience
• Confidence in writing Golang and/or NodeJS code
• Solid understanding of cloud-native engineering principles with a focus on compliance and security aspects
• Practical experience with AWS, Azure, GCP is beneficial
• At least B2 German language proficiency and fluent English language skills
