Role

We are looking for Workshop Supervisor to be in charge of fabrication, testing, and shipment of various biomass pyrolysis equipment, including carbonizers, material handling systems, furnaces, and condensers / heat exchangers.

We are looking for an engineering professional with substantial experience setting up, managing, and scaling up agricultural or industrial equipment manufacturing operations / fabrication workshop (with min. 10-people team management).

Responsibilities

• Set up a fabrication workshop/ facility, procure machines and fabrication equipment and recruit fabrication team

• Launch and manage the equipment fabrication process, and ensure a safe environment for production

• Manage materials procurement required for equipment fabrication

• Establish goals for production, and coordinate plans to meet these goals under required timelines and as per design specifications and clients’ requirements

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

• Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements

• Evaluate the final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety

• Prepare the budget and costing for equipment fabrication

  Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, fabrication/ manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or similar field

• 10+ years of experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Fabrication/Welding Supervisor, or Fabrication Engineer with experience in setting up, managing, and scaling up agricultural or industrial equipment fabrication operations / fabrication workshop

• Familiar and able to operate, maintain, and perform troubleshoot for various type of fabrication equipment e.g. CNC plasma cutter, milling machine, roller bender, Arc/TIG welding machine

• Team management experience (min. 10-people team)

• Competent in problem-solving, team building and management, planning, and decision-making

• Interest in climate tech and a sense of urgency to mitigate climate change
