About The RoleThe Proposal Analyst will be responsible for managing analysis and workflow activities related to applying for community solar projects. Reporting to the Director of Proposals, they will directly support the team’s efforts to organize data and create applications for market specific community solar programs. Additionally, the Proposal Analyst will be responsible for finding, analyzing, and responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) for solar projects.

The principal objective of the Proposal Analyst position is to assist in the application process for each project and ensure compliance with the requirements of the community solar program. It is essential for this role to liaise with internal teams (including Engineering, Operations, Policy, Marketing, and Executive) to manage applications for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, the Analyst will provide expertise and assistance for community solar project development, as well as for behind-the-meter EPC and PPA projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a background in solar energy, exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, and a strategic business development mindset to contribute to the team's overall success.

Responsibilities* Analyze all aspects of community solar deals and ensure compliance with market specific requirements

  • Manage data entry for program specific content and produce proposal documents (PowerPoint, Excel, Word formats) from start to finish.
  • Maintain accurate data regarding Community Solar leases, EPC and PPA offers in the CRM system
  • Be comfortable navigating the nuances of various community solar programs and work with the Technology team to incorporate compliance requirements into CRM system.
  • Keep track of applications in the CRM system. Evaluate and implement third party tools and services for improving workflow and velocity
  • Project manage applications through the lifecycle and keep current with the CRM system
  • Support the Business Development team by performing tasks relating to the application requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences preferred
  • 3+ years of total work experience including at least 1 year of experience working on complex spreadsheets
  • 1+ years of experience in an analyst capacity within the solar energy industry
  • Working knowledge of energy policy, ESG topics and familiarity with solar industry
  • Experience with solar energy design materials including drawing sets and energy production models
  • Basic understanding of commercial PV construction methods (rooftop, ground-mount, carport), behind-the-meter and utility interconnections, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and EPC Contracts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with MS Dynamics software is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail; self-motivated and proactive
  • Leadership ability and comfortable driving high-visibility projects
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
