At Peak Power, we're making dirty power plants obsolete. The current centralized electricity system is not sustainable. Between the climate crisis, state-wide blackouts, aging infrastructure, and rising costs, the system needs a huge overhaul. The demand for electricity is high and getting higher, and big power plants aren't meeting our needs. We say it's time to disrupt and decentralize.

At Peak Power, we're energy nerds that develop software for the energy storage sector. Our tech turns commercial buildings and industrial facilities into mini virtual power plants in a new decentralized electricity system. Peak Synergy is our energy efficiency software platform. It analyzes grid conditions in real-time and sends notifications for high-demand hours. The platform also looks at how dirty the grid is at any moment. If a building has batteries and EV chargers onsite, Peak Synergy manages their usage to meet sustainability goals and participate in complicated energy market programs. Peak Synergy benefits stakeholders across the energy and building sector. Commercial real estate and industrial companies have the insights required to meet net zero goals while generating revenue and lowering operational costs. Battery developers and investors add value with a cost-effective asset operation tool. Utilities increase resiliency, accelerate renewable adoption, and defer or prevent infrastructure upgrades. The Opportunity

Reporting to the VP Project Development, the Project Manager will work with a talented group of Project Managers, Engineers, Business Development Managers, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced and exciting environment. This work matters. Even a small change to optimize electricity usage can significantly impact our customers' electrical grid and environment. What you will do

• Ensure operational performance targets and milestones are met or exceeded
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and documentation
• Review regular reports of budget and timeline status
• Manage projects in alignment with budget and timeline
• Lead and plan and manage the studies required to assess project viability
• Manage and coordinate utility interconnection processes
• Conduct due diligence on potential projects
• Define and document RFPs and scope of work packages for 3rd party EPC firms
• Monitor and report on progress
• Lead internal/external project status update meetings
• Serve as lead point of contact for projects
• Manage the collection, organization, and filing of all project documentation
• Develop checklists and strategies for meeting location-specific development and permitting requirements

What you will bring

• 4 years of professional experience in project development and/or management
• 2 years of experience in developing and/or managing behind and in front of the meter energy storage projects
• Undergraduate Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or equivalent
• P. Eng designation preferred
• Project Management Institute (PMP) certification preferred
• Familiarity with battery storage design and technical standards
