We currently have an exciting opportunity for the position of System Engineer - Instrument Electrical Bias within the Fuel Route Engineering Department at Hartlepool Power Station.
**The Opportunity** As a System Engineer, you will apply lessons learned from Operational Experience gained from industry and Company sources in a rigorous and systematic manner. Assist the Group Head in the provision of an effective and efficient engineering function while identifying long-term system maintenance improvement requirements in order to achieve the best possible performance of the plant.
**Pay, Benefits, and Culture** We're offering a salary of £40,069 - £71,779 that applies with our terms and conditions covered by the EDF Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experiences, and qualifications.
**What You'll Be Doing** In this position, you will investigate and identify plant faults, prepare instructions for their rectification, manage routine and defect maintenance ensuring that the plant is maintained and modified in accordance with the Site License. Other roles and responsibilities also include maximizing the effective use of time and personal ability, working flexibly within your range of competence, and continually monitoring and analyzing Fuel Route risks, maintenance history, and defect trends.
**Who You Are** As our next Fuel Route System Engineer, you will demonstrate the ability to analyze problems to determine root causes, recognize weaknesses in equipment, and propose realistic improvements at a component or system level. You should be enthusiastic, flexible, and have strong communication skills.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum HNC/HND Degree level or equivalent in an Instrument or Electrical Engineering biased subject.
- Ideally working towards Chartered Engineer Status.
**Closing date for applications:** Tuesday, April 30th. **Interviews:** Week commencing Monday, May 13th. **Applicants will be required to obtain CTC level vetting prior to taking up their duties.**
_To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will ordinarily require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years._
