HR Case Advisor
The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Case Advisor to work with our team of HR Business Partners, providing proactive employee relations case support. We will value your existing skills and experience while providing the opportunity for an individual with an agile approach and mindset to develop your career. As part of your advisory role, you will spot trends and make recommendations to HR Business Partners. You will proactively drive interventions with people managers to address identified people issues across the business.
You will liaise with external agencies and functions such as legal and local union representatives regarding the people issues related to procedures and policies to ensure that people managers work within the defined policy and procedures. You will share knowledge with the team on individual case management to ensure best practice is developed and used. This is a part-time position (22.2 hours per week) based at our Hartlepool station.

What You Will Be Doing
- Providing proactive professional HR advice and guidance which meets or exceeds defined service levels.
- Building effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business, including Trade Union representatives.
- Assisting managers in understanding and implementing policies in relation to employment case portfolios.
- Organizing informal and formal case meetings, including documentation preparation and note-taking.
- Maintaining up-to-date records and suggesting improvements, providing feedback where applicable.
- Tracking progress, recording, and maintaining accurate case records using technology.
- Discussing appropriate actions with HR Business Partner Team and/or Employee Relations team in case of increased risks.
- Supporting the wider community by providing valuable feedback and insight to enrich data used in workshops, training, coaching, and guidance.
Who You Are
- Previous experience working in an HR role advising on the management of employment cases.
- Good understanding of employment law and the ability to interpret policies.
- Strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Outstanding time management, prioritization, and organization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and maintain HR systems accurately.
- Can-do attitude with a passion for learning, creativity, and energy.
- Able to operate effectively within a wider HR function and build strong relationships.
