BWXT is currently looking for positions for General Manufacturing in our UPRR Dept.

**Description & Duties**:

• Support of the various fuels based programs within the UPRR area including but not limited to:
• Performing a variety of functions related to fuel fabrication processes within the SFF and Recovery areas.
• Preparing chemical solutions consisting of acids, bases, and organics to modify Uranium based materials.
• Weighing, mixing, heat treating, blending, and sampling during fuel process steps.
• Required to work through glove box type enclosures and/or ventilated hoods.
• Handling of fuel, solid fine powder, liquid wastes, and scrap per area procedures.
• Maintenance of production and quality records and perform routine maintenance as required.
• Protective clothing including full face respirators is required.

**Job Qualifications & Requirements**:

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must meet one of the education or experience requirements specified.
• Ability to obtain Work Keys scores required for the position.
• Working knowledge of hand tools and light power tools desirable.
• Capability for simple math addition and subtraction involving decimals.
• Ability to obtain and maintain respirator qualification.
• Strict adherence to operational safety and criticality procedures.

**Additional Information**:

• Most work performed in a standing position.
• Climbing ladders and steps without restrictions required.
• Maintenance on equipment under candidate's cognizance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship required.

**Compensation**:

• Starting hourly rate is expected to be $31.14 per hour in Virginia, US VA.
• Anticipated rate following successful progression: $37.07 per hour.
• Total compensation package may include medical, retirement, and other benefits.
