Job Description

Northvolt has an exciting job opening for an Engineer with experience in the field of Factory planning and Material Flow Automation (e.g. Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems, Production Buffers, Robots, AGVs, etc.) for the Drei Factory. By accepting this mission, you will take a key role in shaping Northolt's Giga Factory in Heide to produce the world's greenest battery cells. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation and material flow solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

**About the job:**

• Join a team of skilled individuals to implement Northvolt's ambitious plans for the gigafactory in Heide.
• Focus on next-generation material flow equipment design, development, installation, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Stockholm and Skelleftea, Sweden.
• Manage complex automation projects to ensure compliance with expansion plans.

**Key responsibilities include:**

• Interact with key automation solution suppliers.
• Execute equipment design and commissioning work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Establish operational standards for project handover.

**Skills & Requirements:**

• Engineering degree in Industrial, Process, Production, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or similar.
• Track record of leading implementation of advanced technical projects in automation systems.
• 5 years of experience in process-driven industries.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
