Job Description
Data Engineer
Together with our customers and partners, we at E.ON create superpowers that can tackle some of society's biggest challenges. The transition to renewable energy and the development of the electrified society are two examples. These are things happening right here and now where you can contribute.
About us
Data is a fundamental requirement for digitalization, and enabling data availability plays a key role in the success of the energy transition. Our Data Engineering Platforms team is at the heart of data management at E.ON, and we now need to expand the team with two Data Engineers to meet future challenges. We work with a wide variety of data, but the new services will allow you to specialize in one or a few specific data domains, clearly demonstrating the business value of the data you help create.
Your role
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines in collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders within and outside the domain-oriented data team. You will also implement data quality controls and monitoring for the pipelines you build and continuously work on improvements based on performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
We see that one of the two roles will involve more pure Data Engineer work, while the other role will also include a platform responsibility component. You will be based at our newly built headquarters in Malmö.
Your experiences
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent, and at least two years of experience in similar roles. To be well-suited for the role, you need to be proficient in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines (ETL/ELT), have good knowledge of data modeling, SQL, and CI/CD concepts.
Experience with Snowflake, Talend, Databricks, or DBT is valued, and we are particularly interested in candidates with previous work focusing on customer data. To thrive in this role, positive interaction both internally and externally is essential, as well as embracing knowledge exchange and collaboration. Staying updated on the latest data technology is important for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Life at E.ON
You will join an inclusive, helpful, and dynamic team consisting of domain and solution architects, platform engineers, and data engineers. It is a group that collaborates closely with each other and the rest of the business to achieve the best development for both the team and E.ON.
Your manager, Mattias Mörstam, promotes supportive leadership with a strong focus on collaboration within the team, encouraging transparency and individual initiatives. At E.ON, we actively work on inclusion, which is essential for driving the energy transition forward. We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good development opportunities.
We offer various benefits for your well-being, ensuring a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include shorter working hours than the industry standard, health insurance, and more.
Join us on the journey towards a sustainable society. The deadline for applications is May 5th.
For questions about the position, please contact the recruiting manager, Mattias Mörstam at +46 702 257807. For union-related inquiries, please contact Unionen, Akademikerna, or Ledarna as indicated.
