Are you a Procurement professional looking to make a difference in the transition to net zero? National Grid is seeking a Category Lead for a 9-month Fixed Term Contract to join the expanding Global Procurement team.

What you'll do

• Support the General Management Consultancy Framework
• Assist in category strategy development and strategic sourcing
• Collaborate with key suppliers to drive improvements in cost, delivery, and quality
• Scope and develop regional contractual agreements

What we're looking for

• Strategic procurement expertise and experience in executing category strategies
• Ability to manage tendering events and stakeholder engagement
• Experience as a Category Lead or similar role
• Strong analytical skills for cost and contract analysis
