Job Description
Whole Energy Network Analyst
**Location:** Warwick, GB, CV34 6DA **Division:** Electricity System Operator **Job Type:** Full Time **Requisition Number:** 54547 **Department:** ESO **Job Function:** Data Analysis and Analytics
About the role
Great Britain's electricity system is undergoing an ambitious, exciting, and vital transformation. Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, greener system that protects the planet and serves generations to come. This role is within the Gas and Whole Energy Network Development (GWEND) team, which is part of the Strategic Energy Planning (SEP) directorate in NESO. The team provides support and advice throughout both SEP and NESO and acts as a go-to resource for internal and external stakeholders, understanding the whole energy system and how it's considered within GWEND SEP.
A key aspect of the role is to learn about the core of the energy transition and tackle the complexities of cross-vector analysis and optimization. While not mandatory, there are likely opportunities to engage with stakeholders such as central government regulators and private companies. This is a high-profile role embodying the new whole energy remit given to the former electricity system operator, presenting an excellent opportunity for career growth within the energy transition.
The role is based in either Wokingham or Warwick, with hybrid working options available. Full-time, part-time, and flexible working arrangements are welcomed.
