A Staff Scientist (Researcher III) position is available in the Materials, Chemical, and Computational Science Directorate to support work on the advancement of electrochemical energy conversion devices (e.g. fuel cells, electrolyzers, CO/CO2 reduction). Candidates who are interested in launching independent careers with the desire to build programs in these areas as a principal investigator should apply. While the job ad is primarily targeting a Researcher III position, exceptional candidates will be considered at the Researcher IV level.

The Staff Scientist will be engaged in a large collaborative group effort which explores fundamental and applied materials, as well as chemical and engineering challenges of electrochemical energy conversion devices. These larger efforts probe the effects of materials properties, component interactions, and processing on device structure and electrochemical properties, with a focus on design improvement strategies for electrochemical energy conversion devices.
