As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Volocopter, you will work within the aircraft research and development department at the Bruchsal site.

Job Description

Your crew during this flight: Your future crew is a team of highly experienced and motivated professionals within the mechanical engineering department. Together, you will work to create innovative solutions for complex problems. Your mission as a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Propulsion will involve being responsible for all structural topics in the propulsion unit, including design, stress testing, compliance demonstration, and analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc./M.Eng preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a mechanical design engineer
• Experience in structural analysis with FEM simulation tools
• Knowledge of static, fatigue, thermal, and vibration analysis in structures
• Fluent English language skills, German or other languages are beneficial

Bonus Skills

• Experience in aerospace standards and development processes
• Familiarity with PLM Software, preferably Siemens Teamcenter
• Experience in software related project management (e.g. Jira)
