Job description

About the team

In this position, you will be part of our Chapter Software Engineering. The chapter represents all experts who deliver essential software development and engineering capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to keep E.ON’s code base modern, secure, and excellent. The products you will be working on belong to our team Digital Solutions I Future Energy Home. This team develops and operates software to manage home energy devices such as photovoltaic inverters, batteries, EV charging wall boxes, heat pumps, and meters as a cloud-based solution for our central and local units so they can rollout those solutions to the end customers. We integrate with numerous vendors' devices and apply centralized insights, analytics, and control mechanisms for these devices.

Your tasks

• Frontend Backend Software Development for our Future Energy Home product portfolio
• Analyzing third-party APIs, map data models, and data concepts to our models for proper integration
• Collaboration with solution architects, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver the best experience to our end customers
• Ensuring clean code and clean architectures and identifying, communicating, planning, and performing refactoring to advance the product
• Staying up to date with the latest developments in software technologies and frameworks as well as sharing and discussing ideas in a Community of Practice

Your profile

• Profound experience in cross-platform frontend development using React, React Native, and Redux on top of Expo
• Several years of experience in Typescript and the NodeJS npm ecosystem optionally React, React Native
• Profound experience in AWS cloud technologies utilizing serverless services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis)
• Proven track record in utilizing DevOps tooling (e.g., GitLab, SonarQube, Cloudformation, or Terraform) or CDK
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and coach other developers
• Fluent in English
