**As a Public Policy Manager, you will:**

  • Be an instrumental member of the team in charting strategic opportunities, developing new governmental and community partnerships, and interfacing directly with federal, state, and local officials.
  • Join a team of visionaries seeking to expand Gradient's reach in a heavily outward-facing and strategic role.
  • Ensure that the company's products reach frontline and LMI communities through government and utility policies.
  • Have a remote or hybrid role with a preference for candidates located in Washington DC, New York City, or Northern California.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Research, analyze, and unlock incentives for residential comfort products.
  • Drive refrigerant policy at federal, state, and municipal levels.
  • Build and execute a policy engagement strategy.
  • Keep abreast of important changes in regulatory and legislative matters.
  • Build and nurture relationships with government leaders and partners.
  • Collaborate with building decarbonization industry associations.
  • Track and communicate policy trends and regulatory proceedings to inform commercial strategy.

**Desired Qualifications:**

  • 7 years of government relations or public policy experience.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency and climate regulations.
  • Understanding of energy efficiency regulatory constraints.
  • Strong relationships within the energy efficiency community.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset.
  • Availability to travel up to 25% of the time.
