PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for providing overall management for large projects leading the project team and ensuring key and successful customer relations as well as assist operating group with winning work.

Summary
**Midwest Region - Minnesota** Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Project Executive for our Solar Group who is responsible for providing overall management for large projects leading the project team and ensuring key and successful customer relations as well as assist operating group with winning work. This individual will have the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain successful customer and/or community relationships
- Preview proposals before submission and participate in Request for Proposal process
- Provide oversight and accountability for large utility solar projects
- Manage contract administration including terms, change requests, invoices, etc.
- Provide leadership to project team
- Review work of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers
- Develop team members for future career considerations
- Ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members
- Use appropriate forethought and planning in decision making
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years experience in construction management
- Good understanding of the solar market in Minnesota
- Strong financial acumen overseeing the P&L's on large self-perform projects
- Proven people leader
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and business practices
- Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level
- Ability to travel 50% or more
**Education:** Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field.
