Job Description

Position: Production Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shift

  • **Location:** Goshen, IN
  • **Remote Status:** On Site
  • **Job Id:** 1642
  • **Number of Openings:** 12 (2nd Shift), 18 (3rd Shift), 76 (total)
  • **Hourly Rate:** plus an additional $1.50 per hour shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Operates work station to assemble components as dictated by the manufacturing systems and processes and to a build specification
  2. Performs repetitive operations of loading and unloading component parts and assemblies into process modules
  3. Runs at established efficiency standards and ensures consistency with current process sheets maintaining established cycle times to ensure production output is met
  4. Ensures quality, performs visual and gauged inspections, and verifies proper assembly of all parts as directed by work instructions; work is subject to process and final inspection
  5. Keeps non-conforming material in designated areas and follow established procedures for assembly
  6. Ensures all equipment and the work areas are cleaned daily based on the total preventative maintenance schedule and free of safety hazards
  7. Performs all job functions in a safe manner following all established safety guidelines and procedures; notifies the Supervisor immediately of any safety concerns, only operates work stations after full training of operation
  8. Provides support to all activities assigned by the direct supervisor

Bonus:

This plan provides a financial reward of up to 5% of gross earnings when plant performance for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery meet or exceed the established targets

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalency

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to position or move, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 lbs frequently. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
