Your Role
A Global Head of QHSE is a professional who defining QHSE guidelines and strategy in each BU (LATAM, USA, Germany, Southern Europe and India), participating in different QHSE international projects and auditing them in order to improve QHSE Company’s performance and reduce occupational accidents; leads the promotion of the environmental protection and continuous improvement processes. This role will perform a range of duties supporting all BUs to ensure sustainable business operations.
Responsibilities
- Purpose and set the direction for the Global Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Environmental, team within Operational Excellence, leading by example.
- a culture of Leadership on Safety, driving continuous improvement across the business around Health & Safety, wellbeing of employees and Environmental matters.
- the overall operations of Quality function from a policy and governance standpoint, defining and ensuring the adherence of the Operations organization to the quality norms and systems in all projects, products and services.
- Quality Assurance process, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the implementation of the standards by the Suppliers and Construction works.
- Quality Control systems and processes to monitor the adherence of the Vendor’s products and site works to the Quality standards and manage deviations, investigations and continuous improvement.
- Drive health and safety (H&S) leadership, including H&S campaigns and spotlights, mental health & well-being initiatives, and H&S training.
- Lead and/or participate in work-related H&S incident investigation, including corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive health and safety (H&S) leadership in the organization, including H&S campaigns and spotlights, mental health & well-being initiatives, and H&S training. Support the Senior Leadership in the Cultural transformation of the organization.
- Lead and/or participate in work-related H&S incident investigation, including corrective and preventive actions.
- To ensure the correct performance of the different safety, quality and environmental management processes of the services provided, assessing, supervising, coordinating and participating in the implementation and maintenance of the integrated management systems, verifying legal compliance in different BUs (LATAM, USA, Germany, Southern Europe and India).
- To develop a preventive culture across the BUs, providing resources and implement processes that allow the BU to be autonomous in QHSE. Playing periodical assessment.
- Playing the role of legal HSE managers in those Bus where no HSE manager is hired or even no HSE legal representative exists.
- Evaluate the performance of QHSE personnel in BUs.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree, Electrical, Mechanical or Organizational Engineering education or equivalent preferable.
- +15 years’ experience working on developing and implementing HSEQ management systems in Renewables and/or construction, transport infrastructures, etc. in an international environment. +5 years as international HSQE Leader building up, continually improve, and implement HSEQ management systems.
- Experience in preparation for IMS certification, or as a qualified and certified auditor.
- Experience leading a high performing global team.
- Quality Control background including problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Minimum of 3 years education special consideration given to Quality Accreditation’s (ASQ/AIAG) and technical courses completed (Auditor, etc.),
- Experience with ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 systems
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
