**About the Opportunity** Jacobs is currently recruiting for a Geoscientific Modelling Consultant to join our Radioactive Waste Management and Disposal business. The role can be based at Harwell, London, Birchwood, or other locations will be considered. The successful applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects for UK-based and international customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work on consultancy projects for customers including radioactive waste producers and regulators
- Provide input to technical areas including numerical modelling
- Produce technical reports and presentations
- Develop an understanding of customer requirements
- Analyze problems and develop solutions
- Support team members with business development activities
**What You'll Need**
- Postgraduate degree in Earth sciences, physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics
- Experience in developing and applying numerical models
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
**Experience with the following is a plus**
- PhD in relevant disciplines
- Experience with modelling software such as GoldSim and PHREEQC
- Scientific programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
- Geotechnical modelling experience
