Job Vacancy: Country Representative

**Chemonics International** seeks Country Representatives for the Power Africa Empower Southern Africa (ESA) Program funded by USAID. ESA is a 5-year regional program covering South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Madagascar, Comoros, and Sao Tome and Principe. The primary goal of ESA is to increase the availability, access to, and use of affordable, reliable, sustainable, and clean energy in Southern Africa to achieve measurable development outcomes. These outcomes include economic growth, poverty reduction, improved livelihoods, and increased inclusive access to electricity-enabled services in areas such as health, education, sanitation, and food security.

**Responsibilities:**

• Own the development and continuous updating of country strategies to drive key activities across subsectors.
• Coordinate activities with technical leads and operational teams to scale up operational footprint.
• Identify project technical assistance needs, develop scopes of work, and maintain communication with the Pretoria office for deployment.
• Ensure quality control over all project operations and performance targets, ensuring deliverables outlined in contracts are met.

**Location:** Multiple locations across the Southern Africa Region, including Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Angola, Mozambique, Malawi, Madagascar, Eswatini, Lesotho, Comoros, and Sao Tome and Principe.
