Job Description:

**Core Responsibilities:** Con Edison, a multibillion-dollar energy utility, is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. We are investing hundreds of millions of dollars annually to integrate distributed resources into our electric and gas systems, support electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and scale adoption of energy efficiency and clean heating technologies across our customers.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Financial Management and Analysis (FMA) activities for Distributed Resource Integration (DRI) including Distribution Planning, Storage, and E-Mobility.
  • Leading a team of senior analysts/analysts for executing and enhancing FMA comprehensive financial management activities.
  • Implementing the overall strategy and direction of the Financial Management and Analysis (FMA) section.
  • Developing and implementing systems for analyzing, monitoring, verifying, forecasting, and reporting on financial information.
  • Supporting development, implementation, and evaluation of the department’s financial strategy.
  • Providing recommendations to support business strategy.
  • Communicating and sharing the annual and five-year budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Collaborating closely with key DRI clean energy program leads to develop, enhance, and implement financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Managing invoice and customer incentive payment processes.
  • Ensuring charges for all payments are accurate and complete.

**Required Education & Experience:**

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics major, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of work experience with 2 years relevant work experience including in finance, accounting, economics, or other relevant industry. OR
  • Master’s Degree (MBA or Masters of Finance/Accounting/Economics) preferred.
  • 3 years of work experience with 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Relevant experience in accounting, financial planning, budgeting, analysis, forecasting, and business operations required.
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, explained to non-financial professionals.

**Required Skills:**

  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self-starter with the ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to perform independent research.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data for business insights.

**Preferred Skills:**

  • Experience with financial analysis, internal controls, and managing processes.
  • Ability to present recommendations to senior executives.
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion, Oracle EBS, and Oracle Business Intelligence a plus.
  • Familiarity with utility financials a plus.

**Licenses/Certifications:** Driver’s License required.

**Other Physical Demands:**

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory.
