NextEra Energy Marketing is one of the nation's leading electricity and natural gas marketers. We are responsible for electricity and fuel management for all of NextEra Energy Resources generation fleet, which includes the largest renewable energy portfolio in North America. We also provide marketing and trading services to electric and gas utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and other load serving entities, as well as to owners of electric generation facilities.

**Position Specific Description** Employees in this role are responsible for overseeing NextEra and third-party customer's generation fleet in real-time markets, transacting short-term energy and transmission purchases and sales, and closely working with the fuels group to balance plant requirements. This role will apply knowledge of combined cycle peaking unit wind solar storage and nuclear generation economics and dispatch characteristics, as well as a solid degree of understanding with ISO, RTO tariff protocol, and market portals.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Monitors market conditions and analyzes transactions to help in identifying and executing energy trades.
• Ensures transaction terms are beneficial to the organization and meet risk guidelines.
• Optimizes economics to assure minimum energy supply costs and maximizes profits for the generation portfolio.
• Determines generation requirements and coordinates fuel procurement to meet obligations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

**Job Qualifications**

• Bachelor's Degree required.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Bachelor's in Business Administration or Engineering.
• Experience in fuel sales, gas trading, or oil trading.
