The Opportunity Are you ready to take the reins and lead the charge in maximizing the performance of distributed generation solar assets? As a Senior Commercial Portfolio Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing solar photovoltaic (PV) asset portfolios and energy storage projects. Reporting directly to the Manager of Commercial Operations, you'll collaborate closely with our dynamic team, taking ownership of client relationships from onboarding to performance reporting. This role is not just about managing assets; it's about shaping the future of sustainable energy.### Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of 100-200 MW of distributed solar assets, driving efficiency and maximizing output.
  • Coordinate external field service resources to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime, leaving no room for inefficiencies.
  • Lead subcontracted annual O&M services with a focus on preventative maintenance, panel washing, and ground maintenance that sets the gold standard.
  • Dispatch subcontracted O&M services for both planned maintenance and reactive issues with the agility of a true operations maestro.
  • Maintain site warranty databases with meticulous precision, ensuring every "i" is dotted and every "t" is crossed.
  • Utilize your technical prowess to resolve system issues, working closely with equipment, inverter, and DAS technical support.
  • Foster and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, from site owners to facilities personnel, cementing Omnidian's reputation for reliability and excellence.
  • Deliver polished asset performance and service visit reports to clients, demonstrating not only what we've achieved but also where we're heading.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the solar energy industry, showcasing a history of leadership in account management, asset management, system design, or field service and maintenance. Commercial Solar experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in client account management, where you've demonstrated exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with solar monitoring DAS platforms and alerts, and the ability to interpret solar system design drawings.
  • A deep understanding of solar technology, monitoring systems, maintenance practices, and the solar industry landscape.
  • Experience in Storage technologies is a big plus, showcasing your versatility and adaptability in this rapidly evolving field.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
  • A passion for learning and a hunger to continually expand your skill set to stay at the cutting edge of the industry.
  • A NABCEP Certification is an extra feather in your cap that demonstrates your commitment to excellence in solar energy. Desirable but not required.
