Your Role

The Partnership Sales team is responsible for developing, executing, and selling global and local Partnerships at Formula E.

The Senior Partnership Sales Manager has a highly strategic role generating revenues across the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship sales assets by the creation of new meaningful commercial partnership and sponsorship agreements across global and UK centric companies. They will proactively execute the sales and Go-To-Market strategy across categories of interest and will be the pinnacle point of contact with Formula E stakeholders.

Key Deliverables

Source and identify new clients who could be ideal partners for sponsorship opportunities and take responsibility across the whole sales process; from first approach through to contract signature.

Be an expert of sponsorship rights and their value, create compelling sales propositions tailored for the prospect and be responsible in leading the contract negotiation alongside the legal department.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work both independently and with Partnership Sales Director to negotiate and close integrated brand partnerships combining IP association, co-marketing activations, branded content and media exposure
  • Ability to create a sales proposition deck with related rights, tailormade ideas and compelling content
  • Execute partnership sales go-to-market strategy alongside Partnership Sales Director, with focus on securing local partners for the London E-Prix
  • Work closely with the Partnership Strategy and Planning team to deliver the end-to-end sales process, including initial market analysis, prospect approach, proposal creation, commercial negotiations and contracting of agreements
  • Utilise CRM platform to record, analyse and report on individual and collective sales pipeline
  • Develop, grow and maintain individual sales pipeline
  • Liaise with in-house Creative Solutions team to deliver best in class proposals for commercial pitches
  • Foster brilliant internal collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Brand, Partnership Strategy, Marketing, Media, Business Intelligence and Sustainability teams to develop innovative partnership proposals
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers (including C-Suite positions) in key accounts.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will be an experienced and confident individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team. The candidate must have a solid understanding and experience in a proactive and autonomous commercial sales environment.

Experience required:

  • Partnership sales experience (preferably with high value partnership teams)
  • Existing black book of UK client contacts and understanding of UK sponsorship landscape
  • Understanding and enjoyment of pure proactive sales execution
  • Ability to network across various business types
  • Ability to forecast, plan and manage budgets
  • Strong ability to develop a solid network of corporate partnership pipeline
  • Experience in prospect analysis

Skills and aptitudes required:

  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Must be able to manage a high workload whilst maintaining professionalism
  • Proactive and autonomous, able to self-motivate and focus
  • Must be highly driven, impactful and enthusiastic
  • Able to and enjoys working collaboratively with varying teams across many departments

  • Readiness to travel globally at short notice to follow up on leads.
