Job Description

Service > Global Service Strategy, PMO, & Management Office > Project Management Team 1
The Project Management Department is part of the "Global Service PMO", and consists of Project Managers and Implementation Managers, who are responsible for developing a wide range of projects to deliver innovative solutions for Vestas Service.

You will be part of a diverse department with team members located in many geographical locations and with different cultural backgrounds. We are expanding with highly qualified colleagues to meet the demands of a growing business.

Responsibilities
You will be heading at least one project of varying size and complexity. You will work closely with a Technical Lead, cross-functional teams, engineers and specialists, and various other stakeholders from Service or Construction.
As a Project Manager in Service, you guarantee that your projects follow the applicable project models and processes that ensure quality and firm management of your projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring that your projects are completed within the agreed time, cost, and quality, and will continuously report your progress and deviations to the project owner and the appointed steering committee.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • You are the main driver and responsible for the overall execution and completion of your projects within scope, time, and budget
  • You coordinate your team and ensure their motivation and commitment throughout the entire project timeline
  • You participate in scoping, improve project planning, and secure the necessary resources for your projects from the line organization
  • You supervise sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure they perform as agreed
  • You ensure necessary progress and highlight deviations and issues within your projects
  • You address risks, solve problems, and deal with obstacles as they arise, also prepare and conduct regular reporting on project status to the steering committee
  • You ensure that mandatory project governance is followed, and you contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes templates etc.

Qualifications

  • +3 years of project management experience. Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 will be beneficial
  • Proven positive results working with project scoping and benefit realization. Experience working with both waterfall and agile project methodologies will be beneficial
  • Fundamental understanding of machines and components, IT, infrastructure, connectivity, and software development. Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or similar will be beneficial
  • Experience with Project Management tools such as MS Project or SAP PPM will be an asset
  • Significant attention to project progress, deviations, risks, and budget control
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably in technical terms
  • Advanced presentation skills
