To help deliver successful change, you will play a key role by contributing your significant planning and environmental experience to shape our vision and strategy for better outcomes. Working across policy, legislation, and process areas, you will drive strategic improvements to the environment for developing infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to simplify processes and deliver better outcomes for all stakeholders involved.

You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to lead and influence the successful implementation of policy changes. Additionally, you will provide operational support to ensure consistency and best practices while continuously refining processes for improvement. Your role will involve understanding emerging strategic energy plans, influencing senior stakeholders, and engaging with various government bodies.

National Grid offers hybrid working options, allowing for office and home-based work. Full-time, part-time, and flexible working arrangements are considered.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a planning and environmental background and detailed knowledge of UK planning and environmental assessment policies. Experience in working with national stakeholders, including government bodies, is essential. Influence in government decision-making organizations to update legislation and processes is highly valuable.

What you'll do
