Manager Program Management

National Grid is seeking a **Manager Project Management** to work out of our Syracuse, NY location as a hybrid role. Every day we deliver safe and secure energy to homes, communities, and businesses. Job Purpose:

To be a liaison between National Grid and a selected contractor to support program development activities. This role will involve managing oversight of multiple projects, preparing them for successful execution. Facilitating successful interactions and coordination between all internal and external support functions will be required to deliver mega projects in multiple contract styles. Participation in bid events, negotiations, and other pre-contract activities will also be part of this role.

Key Accountabilities:

  • **Employee Management:** Employee performance development and organization, external position management, and facilitating successful internal and external business relationships.
  • **Work Plan Delivery:** Pre-contract management, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of the Megaprojects portfolio, stakeholder management, and cadenced reporting.
  • **Contractor Management:** Metric-based approach to contractor and contract performance evaluation, establishing business relationships with contractors, and working with procurement and selected contractor on contract strategies.
  • **Reporting Audits:** Ensure proper contract administration and delivery, review reporting for consistent management of contracts, and manage internal and external communications plans.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong background or certification in Construction Management, Contract Management, or Work Planning
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Large project portfolio work management
  • Ability to prioritize and execute based on information at hand
  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Experience within the electric utility industry (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore (preferred)

**Salary**: $141,000 - $166,000 a year.
