Why work with Oatly?

Our growth is fast and accelerating. More and more people choose to switch to a plant-based diet for the sake of their health and the planet. Oatly has a culture where accelerated international growth requires fast decisions and flexible mindsets. Decisions are made close to the functions and with the involvement of responsible parties rather than in large management team meetings. The base in science, strong focus on health and sustainability reflects priorities and culture. Creativity and making the impossible possible is a key priority for the company and for the people in the team. If you're getting a tingly feeling reading this thinking you want to be part of making sure Oatly can actively make the world a better place, we are happy to tell you that we are looking for a Lead Architect.

The role:

The Lead Architect is responsible for the Architecture roadmap through tight collaboration with the product owners and solution architects. The role ensures that the work adds value, is relevant to the business strategy, and meets the goals set for the digitalization portfolio. We offer you a great opportunity to take an active part in the digitalization and expansion of a great company with great products.

What you will do:

This position is calling out for an individual who has successfully scaled and matured an architecture capability and has defined a cloud-first technology roadmap for a complex global business. A technical architecture background is required but a key focus will be working with a highly talented team to shape an incredibly flexible leading architecture at all levels. Here's what you'd be doing on a day-to-day basis:

  • Lead our Architecture Community of Practice (CoP), setting the guardrails for the Architecture Community.
  • Lead and facilitate the Architecture Enablement Board (AEB) and be a member of the Digital Demand Management and Digital Portfolio Board as part of our overall Digital Governance supporting and guiding investment planning, addressing system fragility, and reviewing digital fit and compliance.
  • Actively work with our Digital Product Domain Directors, Digital Product Owners, and Solution Architects.
  • Member of the Digital Development Board supporting and guiding investment planning.
  • Actively work with the Business Technology leadership team to guide product platform strategy and architecture.
  • Work together with the Business stakeholders and the Business Process Management community to manage and coordinate the business architecture.
  • Work closely with all key stakeholders to define, plan, and deliver a modern data-driven architecture.

Who you are:

We are looking for a passionate digital business leader that has a proven record of delivering business value by leveraging digital technology. For this role, you have an exam in a bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Ideally, we hope that you tick the following boxes as they say in corporate land:

  • Strong integrity and a business mindset.
  • Architecture leadership experience.
  • Evidence experience growing and maturing an Architecture function capability.
  • Experience in IT/OT architectural domains.
  • Strong understanding of various Architectural principles.
  • Proven track record of successful architecture-driven digital transformations.
  • A strong commercial delivery-focused mindset with the capability to effectively communicate at board level.
  • Ability to have meaningful conversations with Developer Architects, IT leaders, and Business Stakeholders about how systems should be designed.

Come as you are

We value diversity and inclusion and welcome people from all backgrounds who see sustainability and health as important values. Even if your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.

If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, let's work together to make a better world.
