As an Electrical Engineer Specialist, your role will be of two-fold, you will facilitate in implementing the customer requirements related to Reference designation systems in both onshore and offshore projects and support Standardisation initiatives on Electrical components.

The Standardization Team operates globally, with key hubs in Denmark, India, and Portugal. We spearhead efforts to define and deliver short and long-term business performance goals, ensuring alignment across platforms, modules, sub-modules, and value chains. Our focus lies in fostering standardized and modularized products to optimize operational efficiency.
Our team is tasked with delivering essential business and capability offerings, including Standardization and Parts Management, Reference Designation Systems (RDS), Materials and Coatings Management, and External Standards & Standards within Vestas. By maximizing the value Vestas brings to stakeholders, we actively contribute to the company's growth.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
- Understand customer requirements related to Reference designation systems and take initiatives to implement in new product developments
- Develop governances/ Strategies for implementation of Reference designation systems codes are implements across various design tools and documentations
- Single point of contact for addressing technical queries from Customers on existing Vestas fleet of Turbines that includes both onshore and offshore
- Initiate and facilitate Electrical Standardization activities and develop parts and modules catalogues to support Modularization strategy
- Evaluate and provide Standardisation performance review feedback on Electrical modules for both onshore and offshore products
- Actively identify opportunities for standardization together with stakeholders from across the value chain to reduce cost and improve global availability
- Improve and develop current ISO /IEC standards relevant to RDS together with Standards committee
- Cultivating expert knowledge within your area of responsibilities and establishing guidelines and best practices to support Vestas' operations
Qualifications
We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering within disciplines such as Electrical engineering
- Must have working experience with Electrical design preferably within in Wind turbine electrical engineering domain (e.g. Panels design or power conversion module)
- Expertise in product design, systems, functions and component knowledge in Electrical domain
- Experience with Standardization methodology and principles (beneficial)
Competencies
We see the ideal candidate possessing the following:
- Be able to read/understand electrical diagrams, P&ID etc.
- Knowledge of PLM systems and tools, such as E-Plan, PTC Windchill etc.
- Good understanding of Reference Designation System (RDS) and familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO/IEC 81346 (all parts) and VGB guideline S832 (T32)
- Good stakeholder management and Effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates agility, proactivity, and a systematic approach
- Highly independent and self-initiated to learn
- Good English Communications skills

Your work location will be our office in Aarhus, Denmark or Porto, Portugal.
Up to 20 days of travel per year.
