We are seeking a Training and Development Coordinator!

This position supports the Training & Development function in the design, development, and implementation of learning and development, training programs, and initiatives that align with TriMet's Business Plan and its Vision, Mission, and Values and support the professional development of TriMet employees.

The Training and Development Coordinator will work closely with internal clients, facilitators, external vendors and program participants to support the delivery of sound learning and development programs.

We're seeking a candidate with strong Learning Management System (LMS) administration experience and curriculum design. Join us!

This position requires a minimum of three (3) days per week in-office.

Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers’ experiences and of TriMet’s product and service offerings.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide ongoing project and logistics coordination among multiple learning and development and training initiatives; LMS coordination, tracking and managing timelines for projects and deliverables, scheduling facilities and registration, managing and coordinating materials production.

  2. Revise or create learning and development and training curriculum, classes and related activities; review, evaluate, and modify existing and new learning and development and training offerings. Utilize eLearning content authoring tools.

  3. Co-deliver content and co-facilitate learning and development and training activities.

  4. Conduct research and evaluate various vendors for specific learning needs (classes, curriculum, instructors, learning management systems (LMS).

  5. Gather, analyze, and report on key program metrics that may include project assignments and learning and development initiatives.

  6. Facilitate LMS and other programmatic superuser-training.

Position Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree is required.

A Bachelor's Degree in I/O Psychology, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Adult Education, Organizational Development or a related degree is preferred.

A minimum of two (2) years of total credited experience.*

One (1) year of experience in learning and development with increasing responsibility in the areas of project management, event planning, training materials design, and data management is required.

One (1) year of experience as an LMS (Learning Management System) administrator, using eLearning authoring tools, and coordinating diversity and inclusion and/or management development activities, is preferred.

A Certified Professional in Talent Development (CTPD) or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) designation is preferred.

Or any equivalent of training and experience.

*The amount of credit a candidate receives for prior years of experience is based on the relevancy of that experience to the required or preferred prerequisites of the job description. Experience is prorated based on hours worked. LRHR assigns and validates the "credited experience".

Salary Range
Minimum: $63,146.00
Maximum: $94,720.00

Salary offers will be determined by a candidate’s education, training and relevant experience. Any final offer of employment will fall within the range stated above. For transparency, we choose to list the full available grade range, however, TriMet’s salary administration process will ultimately determine the final salary offered.

Candidates will be selected based at a minimum on the result of:
