What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Commercial Manager. Design the commercial strategy to implement Atlas’ business plan in Colombia that will serve as a guideline for the development team to build the required pipeline. Execute the commercial strategy in alignment with Atlas’ values to achieve the highest returns for Atlas and its stakeholders.

What challenges will you face?

• Understand the fundamentals, regulation, and evolution of the power markets and anticipate trends, emerging opportunities and risks.
• analyze and make recommendations regarding public and private power auctions.
• Reaserah and assess the market potential and the segments of most interest, and project its evolution considering economic, technological, regulatory and environmental drivers.
• Identify and engage with promising clients, and drive PPA negotiations.
• Seek to innovate Atlas’ value proposition advancing it closer to the clients’ needs.
• Monitor regulatory activity, anticipating opportunities & risks and defending Atlas’ interests.
• Originate support in the commercial and transactional efforts required to materialize growth opportunities (such as PPAs, RFPs, etc.).

What specific knowledge do you need?

• at least 5 years in a similar area or department or at least developing similar tasks in utilities, IPPs, traders or other types of generation or energy commercialization companies.
• Strong understanding of Colombia’s market and regulation fundamentals.
• experience negotiating PPAs.
• Basic skills in financial modelling & project valuation.
• Experience in T&D, market advisors, energy team in an investment fund, financial advisors (focused on power markets) and regulators is appreciated, but not sufficient without the generation/commercialization background
