What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Commercial Manager. Design the commercial strategy to implement Atlas’ business plan in Mexico that will serve as a guideline for the development team to build the required pipeline. Originate opportunities to execute the commercial strategy in alignment with Atlas’ values to achieve the highest returns for Atlas and its stakeholders

What challenges will you face?

• Identify and engage with promising clients, and drive PPA negotiations.
• Support in the design and execution of the commercial strategy.
• Reaserch and assess the market potential and the segments of most interest, and project its evolution considering economic, technological, regulatory and environmental drivers.
• Identify commercial trends to provide the development team with the required inputs to build a commercial competitive pipeline.
• Monitor, analyze and manage the participation on public and private power auctions.
• Interact with the market analysis team to build new and innovative products.
• Understand the fundamentals, regulation, and evolution of the power markets and anticipate trends, emerging opportunities and risks.
• Seek to innovate Atlas’ value proposition, advancing it closer to the clients’ needs.

What specific knowledge do you need?

• at least 5 years in a similar area or department or at least developing similar tasks in utilities, IPPs, traders or other types of generation or energy commercialization companies.
• Stronge understanding of Mexico’s market and regulation fundamentals.
• Experience negotiating PPAs.
• Basic skills in financial modelling & project valuation.
• Experience in T&D, market advisors, energy team in an investment fund, financial advisors (focused on power markets) and regulators is appreciated, but not sufficient without the generation/commercialization background
• Business/engineering degree from top tier university.
• Risk/stochastic analysis knowledge, prowess in power flow modelling tools and knowledge of python or other programming languages are an upside.
